It's been getting worse and worse this year. I think they believe they can offer whatever odds they like with the bank holiday mob who turn up today and get away with it. You have to bet on the phone or with Tote if you're at the track.

The first today was arguably a worse example. Betfair SP 13.6 but freely 16 before the off and 3.8 a place.
Returned 13/2 at the track.
Why this is worse is because this was the clear 3rd favourite.

Funnily enough the price of the favourite matched betfair all the way through.

Remember this is not Clonmel on a jammy Thursday. This is the single biggest meeting of the year bar none for viewing. It occurs this year right in the middle of 3 National Holidays in a row and has the sporting scene to titself during the day
