There will be a €23,810 Jackpot rollover at Leopardstown on Monday after there were no winning tickets on Sunday.

The attendance at Leopardstown was down on the 2008 figures for the second consequtive day. 14,605 attended this year compared to just over 16,000 twelve months ago.
Report closure December 27, 2009 8:27 PM GMT
Our old "friend" John Stuart back in the headlnes, what a surprise.
I'd go so far as to say there was not one horse today at Leopardstown that could not be backed at a bigger price here a place.
The problem with J Stuart and his "each way discretionary" sign is that the discretion invariably is to tell u to eff off whether you are an experienced punter or a newbie that has no idea why he and in many cases she is being refused.
The discretion for John means he shows no discretion in being an ignorant so and so
Report littledancer December 27, 2009 8:30 PM GMT
john stuart...ha, seem him getting a good cleaning out one day at galway festival . he was blaming the clerk for something. clerk was on verge of walking away . i smiled while sippin my pint....seems a horrible man when u go to collect from him

10 13021f Whatuthink (IRE)27 7 11-10 Oliver McKiernan B J Geraghty

Probable SP 7/4 Pandorama, 4/1 Alpha Ridge, 5/1 Whatuthink, 6/1 Weapon's Amnesty, 8/1 Catch Me, 10/1 Aranleigh, 14/1 China Rock, 16/1 Lenabane, 25/1 Lucky Wish, 33/1 Coolpotts.

ONLY 4 to beat according to the betting anyways.....
Report Tavaris Jackson December 27, 2009 11:01 PM GMT
Would you fancy him CMiyc?
Report Catch Me ifyoucan December 28, 2009 9:12 AM GMT
Pandorama 5/4
Alpha Ridge 9/2 (5's with sportin')
Weapons Amnesty 7/1 (15/2 with PP but be quick)
Whatuthink 10 (15/2 with PP)
Catch Me 10
China Rock 14
Aranleigh 16
Lenabane 18
Lucky Wish 40
Coolpotts 66

Aranleigh has progressed nicely to a Grade 3 winning chaser (beating 'Coolcashin' by a short head with 9L back to 'Fisher Bridge' and a further 13½L back to 'Copsiano') in the Florida Pearl Novice Chase over 2m6f in Punchestown.

Whatuthink, a 152 rated hurdler has been 2nd to Catch Me twice, a good 2nd of 16 1L behind Mr Warbucks(13/8fav, with Ruby on board) in Thurles.
He went back there to win his 2m2f Beg. Chase before falling in the Drinmore (9/2, 3rd halfway, 4th when fell 6 out).
Barry Geraghty is over to ride, What A Friend !

Weapon's Amnesty, the 8/1 winner of the 3m Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham in March could only manage 3rd in his 2m4f Beginners Chase won by 'Copsiano'.
Was then an expensive 1/2fav faller (tended to jump left, in touch when fell 8th) in November.
Had to find a easy 3m Novices Chase in Newcastle to get of the mark over fences.
Byrnes yard is not exactly firing in the winners is he ? and a little trickle in the betting market this morning is not unusual !

Alpha Ridge, a 131 rated hurdler, is this years 3m Galmoy Hurdle winner (1L in front of Whatuthink). Yet to win a chase, he went down in a 2m6f event at Galway by a nk to China Rock(who was 6/1, 2nd fav, 4th to Sizing Europe in the Craddockstown afterwards).
His 2nd of 8 7L behind Pandorama in the 2m4f Drinmore is his claim to fame (with a distance back to Jered & Mr Warbucks, the only other finishers). E/w material at 5's.

Catch Me, a 164 Grade 1 hurdler at his best, had a bright start to his chasing career when his class told in a high level Beginners Chase in Cork, accounting for Fisher Bridge (a distance back to Faltering Fullback in 3rd) over 2m4f.
Could have, would have, should have beat Oscar Looby in a Listed Chase at Navan(rearranged from Cork).
Andy just failed when 'going for a big one' at the last fence, but thats racing and he lives to fight today !
(Last Saturday, Oscar Looby franked that form when 3rd, 8½L to Dancing Tornado, in the Greenmount Park Novice Chase Grade 2 - Faltering Fullback was back in 4th).
Still feeling the effects of that fall (and after a rescheduled Hatton's Grace meeting 3 days later than originally planned) he was not his sparkling self when 4th in the Hattons.
That form needs franking before the next race here at 2pm.
The Boss will have to pull another trick out of the hat, like in 2003, for CM to pull off win number 12 !

Pandorama, won the Grade 1 Deloitte Novice Hurdle earlier this year - 'Panda-monium' as Cousin Vinny crashes out if one remembers !
Beat Clan Tara (a winner since) by a head in his Beginners Chase.
The 9/4fav Drinmore Champion is the one to beat here as he goes for his 9th win !
Davi Condon will be confident after a recent good spell in the saddle (Presume he's ok after his fall on Parsons Pistol yesterday and will add to his tally today).

Previous Years Winners.....
2008 Casey Jones 7 11-10 P Carberry 25/1 (Noel Meade)
2006 Cailin Alainn 7 11-5 D N Russell 13/8Fav (C Byrnes)
2005 Southern Vic 6 11-10 R Walsh 5/2JFav (T M Walsh)
2004 Forget The Past 6 11-10 Mr D W Cullen 7/2 (M J P O'Brien)
2003 Pizarro 6 11-10 B J Geraghty 4/1 (E J O'Grady)
2002 Be My Belle 6 10-12 T J Murphy 13/2 (S J Treacy)
2001 Give Over 8 11-0 D J Casey 12/1 (Edward U Hales)
2000 Over The Furze 7 11-6 C O'Dwyer 5/4JFav (J A Berry)
