It was a stellar year for Ireland sporting wise . Grand slam winners , Heineken , Kilkenny team of all time probably , Kerry 5 from 10 , Cork ladies , Rory , Padraig and Shane , soccer OK despite the handball factor , athletics decent , and Sea the Stars imperious . But we have come to expect our horses and jockeys to fly the flag , which they do year in and out , so take your bow . And it was the year of the ox !
