THE irish books have agreeded to continue the trial of not using betfair in the ring for another month they say holdings are way and margins much better, runners are being used again like the olds running about backing back.

The only way the on-course market will be resurrected is if the online(exchanges incl) game becomes taxable for punters and of course the oncourse game remains as is. It will be interestng to see what developments arise in relation to betting taxation and any possible tax implications for exchange operators in the future. As a previous poster said nothing stands still and that phrase may very well come back to haunt the exchanges and their successful clients.
