Dear *****,

Paddy Power offers extra value in a number of ways including bonuses, enhanced prices and place terms, and best price guaranteed on horse racing and greyhound racing.

For a small number of customer accounts it is not viable to provide these offers. As yours is one such account, I must inform you that from 4pm on 11th December they will no longer apply.

If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team.

Kind Regards,

you're about to be restricted
Report insideinfo December 11, 2009 2:30 PM GMT
They are a joke, maybe they should place a copy of that letter in place of some of their daft RP adds so that their customers know what they are really like.
Report irishracing December 11, 2009 2:42 PM GMT
They shouldnt be allowed put up odds if they actually will not lay the bet. To be honest i win a bit but not much an they only way to get a bet on is have 10 in 20 different shops. Why do they sponsor events and engage in marketing if they wont lay bets????????
Report insideinfo December 11, 2009 2:46 PM GMT
Exactly mate, they limited my account to winning TEN EURO!! online and when i phone up they keep offering me SP only so i just shaft them in the shops instead.Fat Paddy should realise that p1ssing people about online is not a good idea as it just makes them more determined to get on.

mate of mine a few weeks ago wanted to have €200 on brian o driscoll to be irb player off the year at 8/15

they would only lay him €20

ok so its only a novelty market but should they really be allowed to display prices for advertising purposes if they dont lay any money on it

ps. the bet lost

Aren't you lucky you have your'e money here rather than in bank shares!!

It is a business. It doesn't take firms too long to work out who the sharks are these days.

And as the previous poster says, being a shareholder it is up to them to make money for him.

I can see his point.

There are plenty of m ugs out there to keep plenty of the bookies happy.

The sharks must be reined in!!

put the letter on his facebook site. Ask for explanation
Report glenivy December 11, 2009 4:39 PM GMT
are you a big punter or do they do this to anyone with an account slightly ahead?
Report irishracing December 11, 2009 4:51 PM GMT
They should accept reasonable bets to keep people happy and then back it either online or with another office an trade. By reasonable i mean 100 ew at 10s not 2000 at 25s
Report sinndar001 December 11, 2009 5:34 PM GMT
All the ** and then they manage to get on the 3rd page of a major irish paper to say that they laid 400euros on the colour of tie that lenihan would wear in the dail on the day of the budget. All you can do is laugh.
Report Cupwinkcook December 11, 2009 5:40 PM GMT
If you buy shares, would they unclamp your account?
Report irishbookmaker December 11, 2009 6:02 PM GMT
My usual bet is anywhere between 50 and 200 on odds between 4/6 and 5/2..
Cant see how I would be doing them much harm.

We strive to give our customers the widest possible range of events and markets on which to bet on. However with such a wide offering it will often mean that some of our offers become available for arbitrage opportunities.

In order to sustain our offering we are unfortunately unable to entertain accounts which persistently take advantage of these arbitrages.

Your account falls into this category.
Report Cupwinkcook December 11, 2009 9:20 PM GMT
as clampers go, Paddies aren't the worst
