five star allstar , had a half sister to this at one time i bought her for 4,000 gns .still i backed it when it won last year @ 100/1 on here .alls well that ends well .the reason i diden't back it was i said i'd have no bet today ,disapline always works against you eh :)

Discipline isn't about deciding not to back one day and backing the next - it's about picking and choosing your bets carefully.

Though I'm fairly sure you already know this.

Workrider, I backed her that day too. Bet it was in Listowel. I backed it on the nanny. Only got 50/1 or thereabouts that day :(

yeah its was soapp, had about £i,ooo in the account that day ,come the race had £7 left , so you could say it got me out of trouble :) it was a very long f/furlong .

Youre right Workrider.

I just remember leaving Listowel very happy. No one could work out the logic why I could have backed it.

In those days I would often go down to the paddock esp for a bumper and look for a great walker. That would mean they are fit and ready. I remember seeing this one stride out well that day. So I said despite not being out for some time he must be fit. I knew the distance was not a problem so bingo! :)
