When was the last time he's had a winner? i can remember Butlers Cabin but surely he was had a few since then.

Its amazing his record for JP over here in Ireland. It just goes to show the amount of dross McManus has.
Godolphin and J P McManus go hand in hand. a) Millions of horses. b) Buy good ones from other trainers and then they turn rubbish c) Win loads of rubbish races, few grade/Group 1's. |

For the amount of money J.P.McManus puts into racing he gets precious little return . He might be better to reduce both the quantity of horses he has and the spread of trainers involved . Appears to me JP is a sugerdaddy to some people in the racing game .

2009/10 2-22 = 9% 2008/9 5-33 = 15% 2007/8 8-54 = 15% 2006/7 7-53 =13% 2005/6 22-118= 19% He is probably one winner from his average strike rate this season. It is not up to his overall Uk strike rate but he only rides in bigger irish races now and if you filtered his Uk strike rate to identify comparable races ( listed and above) it is probably something similar. |
