Magnificent.

You could not help love that horse.

Great credit to PN also you could see how much it meant to him.He takes an awful lot of stick but he seems a decent enough guy imo.

Stunning.

Never seen a horse look so big and powerful before in the Paddock.

Paul Nicholls gets criticised for being a big smug etc but he is a born winner.

The last few fences he took lengths out of the ones in behind. Sealed the Win and found more on the run in!!!!!!

Sea the stars had a fantastic year but the leaps by denman in the latter stages of the race shos me why i prefer NH, for a horse to do that it shows power, speed and fantastic athleticism and bravery

Sorry Monte. Even though I`ve won on him since, every time I see him run I think of the day of his first lost to Nicanor. Cost me a bomb. :(
So in conclusion, no. I can help not loving him. Admirable beast nonetheless.

Just watching again, if ever a performance underlined jumping prowess this was it. He just hammered the opposition in the last few fences (except for the 2nd last). The horses ability to land with momentum and take 2/3 big strides after a fence after traveling 2.5 miles carrying the max is astonishing.

unbelievable - imho the best run ever by the tank - i just loved the way that ruby was going at his pace - a couple of horses over pushed themselves by passing him and ruby just kept going at the same relentless gallop - it was a performance that shows why i love nh - brilliant horse brilliant jockey - it was a performance that i will remember to the day i die - was in the local bar and everyone was just going incredible - a day that made me glad to be alive - and no money on the race

It was nowhere near his performace in the gold cup 2 years ago. Horses carryong big weights in the Hennessy is no rare occurrence. Suny Bay being a good recent example.
I'd say it was his 3rd best run after his 2 Cheltenham wins.
I'll say one thing. It sure advetises the ability of Paul Nicholls and his team as trainers. Even he is now admitting that he made a mistake in bringing him back last year but still is able to produce the horse back neaqr his best
Nicholls Will end up being the greatest trainer in NH history before long
