Just had a quick glance at the 1st 3 races so far
1st race very competitive bumper , take on the fav , you have plenty running for you
2nd race equus maximus has a tough task 1st time out since may , giving weight away on bad ground
3rd race i fancy laying nicanor, again reasonably competitve and layesr have a good few running for them

Was at Down Royal the last day and Nicanor ran a cracker. Wasn't a race of great quality - but flawless round of jumping and cruised to the front between the last 2 only to empty of petrol on the run in. As with Go Native on the same card Carberry didn't ask him to do anything once he began to tire - should strip fitter today and with Apt Approach having his first run of the season and not having jumped a fence in public yet I like the look of Nicanor today.

I agree with you regards nicanor lto but that ground is bad and im pretty sure nicanor wont like it and thurles cards are fairly competitive--at the prices im a layer, i would want good odds on anything at thurles today

It's amazing in two consecutive chases the horse out in front not making a semblance of a mistake ends up making a horlicks of the last.

The jockey must be trying to get the horse to jump differently rather than letting the horse get on with it like he had been at every other fence.

And two experienced jockeys to boot. Ruby and Brian Byrnes.

Maybe the last fence was on a down hill lie. But all the remaining horses i think jumped the last.
