Troytown Handicap Chase - Navan, November 22nd |
|
By:
If Royal County Star doesn't run the vast bulk of the fancied runners here will be over 11st, which makes the trends analysis quite tricky. I would imagine RCS will be declared, but may not run.

It was not that long ago that Gungadu would have eaten these for breakfast!!

We don't want another Psyco/Pierse Hurdle fiasco :|.
Any news on a jock for OH, EMI ?:|. |
|
By:
yeah lads, certainly haven't hear he isn't running and this has been the plan... I'd say if Slippers can't ride him, maybe SW Flanagan, haven't a prayer of getting Ruby surely...

Cheers EMI - Ruby could be at Aintree, I suppose. Think he's been injured at this time the last couple of years

Gungadu's official rating in the UK was 152. I wonder what Noel O'Brien is going to do with him ?

Does anybody know if there is a minimum top weight stipulation for this race?
|
|
By:
how do we bet on navan going ahead on sunday?
|
|
By:
Away we go seems to tick alot of boxs...good jumper stays well
low weight..improving all the time. Proven on the ground |
|
By:
Has Bella Mana Mou any chance?. 18lbs higher since last win (over C&D) and an average pipe opener in Wexford, but will love the ground and trip, and the day she won at Navan she never saw another horse.Love seeing a chaser going off in front at Navan and getting into a stride. Anyone remember Nuaffe the day he won the same race?

Dont hold your breath on this card going ahead lads. I cant remember when it was last not raining here!
|
|
By:
Same everywhere :0 Be surprised if there is racin anywhere for the next week bar Dundalk!
|
|
By:
Drove by The Boyne a couple of hours ago and it`s no more than a foot from pouring out onto the road near the town, a mile from the course. The only thing that will be racing here this weekend are ducks!

Woke up to clear blue skies today. :) That was then. An almighty downpour is now. :(

Ruby on Polmar fairly perplexing, took a little of the 33s in any event. Ordinary renewal it must be said.

Was Ruby asked to ride your lad in the end EMI?

yeah lads, certainly haven't hear he isn't running and this has been the plan... I'd say if Slippers can't ride him, maybe SW Flanagan, haven't a prayer of getting Ruby surely. From that comment TGM, I would say he was given first refusal. |
|
By:
doubt he had the option tgm

After comin down on the side of Bella Mana Mou, now all we need is to get the green light for racin :|

DID the owners want Paul on board or what ??? One would presume Ruby had the choice ! Must be a story in it somewhere ;) |
|
By:
The story was that Ruby didn't mind which one he rode. a surprise to me. So Willie put him on Pollmar. Willie said later the ground didn't suit Polmar at all.
Anyway Beroni backers without Ruby on surely got enhanced odds because of this. Young Townend starting to motor now. a Munster national and now a Troytown. I reckon he should still keep his weight down ( say 9.0) as he is better than most flat jockeys and doesn't have to carry dead weight. Now that could have repercussions over the jumps as most lightweights don't make it to the top. Tommy Carberry was an exception. |

a surprise to me..what do make of that Grade 1 ?
