I noticed nobody has a thread about this guy. I'm sure he knows his limitations but he's probably the worst defender playing international football. There is more technical ability in a budgies knee cap. People can point at Duffer, Henry, McGeady etc but IMO this idiot is 150% responsible for that goal.
Bread and butter clearance for a defender, what in gods name was he doing letting it run not knowing where Henry was??????.

Had 2 texts from ppl as soon as McShane was stripped and ready to come on. One said 'I smell an OG' , and the other read 'Oh fk no, not McShane'.

The poor man didnt do so bad at all,its easy to be critica;l from ones sofa.If Henry hadnt controlled with his hand and lets face it that was the only possible way he could have kept it in play,then there wouldnt be a word about McShane.Its quite obvious that he isnt Ashley Cole but he tried his best in difficult circumstances.

no mention of Shay Given in all of this. Take a look at the goal again on youtube. You will see that Shay is starting to raise his right hand when Henry handles the ball...instead he should have played the whistle and been closing Henry down to stop the cross getting acoss the box...he would have been able to do so if that was all that was on his mind. .....I'm a fan of Given, but he is not blameless here and it is too easy to have a pop at handy targets like McShane...

Brave and gutsy dont cut it at this level - im brave and gutsy but im not a fcking premiership player
