I thought i saw him grab his hand to see if he could still smell the leather off it ffs !!!
Report TD_Gunner November 18, 2009 9:50 PM GMT
Dunne was a rock tonight for you, remember he hasnt seen any replays yet.
Report comeonkautostar November 18, 2009 10:06 PM GMT
TD, he was superb, but he saw what Henry did. He appealed with Given.
Report Isotonic. November 18, 2009 10:08 PM GMT
Dunne was immense Kauto. Look at the "goal" again he does not see Henry handling it. think you ve overstepped the mark. Make your own mind up. Watch it again dunne aint looking at him
Report TD_Gunner November 18, 2009 10:09 PM GMT
Are you definite he saw it though kauto ?
Report comeonkautostar November 18, 2009 10:09 PM GMT
Why does Dunne stick his hand up in the air and run towards the referee then?

And i said he was superb tonight for us.
Report Rowley Mile November 18, 2009 10:10 PM GMT
What could dunne be expected to do after the game ?

Does the term sore loser ring a bell with anyone ?

Knocking him out would've ruined his career
Report comeonkautostar November 18, 2009 10:10 PM GMT
yes TD
Report comeonkautostar November 18, 2009 10:10 PM GMT
'ruined his career'

lol
Report Isotonic. November 18, 2009 10:11 PM GMT
may be wrong but i dont think Dunne runs towards ref think its St Ledger Andrews and Given.. Open to correction
Report Upthewaterhill November 18, 2009 10:11 PM GMT
to me it showed how guilty Henry was after the game, to sit down on the deck beside him knowing what happened.

Very clever by the French TV director though, they held on for a few minutes b4 showing the replay, they knew the referee and linesman that would prob look straight at the big screen and then could reverse the decision.

Lets be honest, you would have been ragging! at least told him to fak aff
Report Rowley Mile November 18, 2009 10:12 PM GMT
what's so funny kauto, that's what most people would equate to justice, henry getting a good hiding
Report comeonkautostar November 18, 2009 10:12 PM GMT
if Dunne didnt see it right away, a few of the lads would have told what happened anyway
Report the Inca November 18, 2009 10:13 PM GMT
agree kauto, he would have got the vibe
Report TD_Gunner November 18, 2009 10:14 PM GMT
Yeah tbh was pretty strange he was acting so friendly with Henry anyway
Report Wicklow November 18, 2009 10:19 PM GMT
Look to be fair to RD - he's hardly going to grab TH by the neck and trottle him - he knows well enough whats happened and nothing he can do after the final whistle will change it. Its been a long time since i seen an irish performance for that for 90/120 mins - just an utter shame we've been robbed in such circumstances.
Report downallstar November 19, 2009 9:53 AM GMT
Dunne saying this morning Henry admitted to him when he sat down besides him, that he ch3@ted!

What did you want Dunne to do, Henry came over to him, they were hardly laughing and joking, looked like Henry was apologising to his friend for me.

DOWN. STOP TALKING SENSE NO1 WILL LISTEN , THINK IT WAS 1 IN LONG MANY MOMENTS IN SPORT THAT WAS100% WRONG BUT UNTIL THEY BRING IN TV REPLAYS IT WONT CHANGE , I SAID ON FOOTIE FORUM ENG NEVER WIN WC66 IF HAD HAD REPLAYS .LOL THINK MIGHT GET FEW REPLYS . THINK IN FAIRNESS THEY HAD PLENTY CHANCES TOO GET 2ND GOAL JUS WASNT TOO BE BUT DEF HARD TOO TAKE.
Report Distant View November 19, 2009 10:11 AM GMT
Spot on Wicklow.

RD acted in a professional manner as did Kevin Doyle in the post match interview.

No amount of moaning is going to change what was a terrible decision and cruel injustice.

NORN - feels like all those years laughing at England have finally caught up with me. :(

Was a great performance btw.

dunne should have ripped his head off. henry sat down next to him to play up to the camera cos he knows he's a **ing**

Duff is the one to blame - he had plenty of time and space one on one with the goalie - and pushes it straight at him. Thats why we are out of the World Cup.

you sir, are a stupid **!!! simple as

duff was easily our biggest attacking threat last nite, made sh1t of sagna all nite, single handedly created the goal. and btw the goal chance was on his weaker foot, and great pressure by the defender. fcuk right off!
Report Ciarrai33 November 19, 2009 1:31 PM GMT
supa was I right or wrong about Duffs miss ? Yes or No ?

PS. It takes one to know one.
Report one track mind November 19, 2009 2:28 PM GMT
ciarai are u taking the p1ss???? if your going ta go on about misses wat about robbie keanes. the linesman n the ref are ta blame for me an absolute disgrace. am i only the person that thinks mcshane should have just dealt with it n none of us would be having this debate. what normal defender lets d ball bounce in d 6 yard box!!
Report supatroopa November 19, 2009 3:14 PM GMT
wrong. he had just over one second to let the ball come across him and hit it (with his weaker foot) under pressure from both goalie and defender. u are correct however on ur theory, i am a **, a very angry ** at that
Report one track mind November 19, 2009 3:53 PM GMT
ur entitled ta ur opinion bud!! i tawt he could helped it on its way with his right foot as it bounced and he saw d flight of d ball d whole way. tawt it was horrendous defending
Report macrocky November 19, 2009 3:59 PM GMT
Forgive me, soccer stars will get away with whatever they can, they pull jerseys, they lay offside, they dive in the box , they are up to all tricks.
ITS UP TO REFEREE TO RULE THE GAME AND TO STOP THE **ING
i blame the ref and fifa for not allowing tv replays
Report KK 05 November 19, 2009 4:00 PM GMT
His right foot?? He would have buried it. What would we have talked about then??

Somebody had to get a head to it. McShane, in fairness, incorrectly thought Dunne had it. That was the mistake. Once he was backing off it it was too late to deal with it.
Report one track mind November 19, 2009 4:31 PM GMT
all he had ta do was help the ball on pretty sure he was outside the post
Report KK 05 November 19, 2009 4:32 PM GMT
It's McShane we are talking about, right?
Report one track mind November 19, 2009 4:35 PM GMT

Report Ciarrai33 November 19, 2009 5:16 PM GMT
supa we are all shell-shocked disappointed angry - call it what you will - but we did have chances ourselves to get through and whilst Duff did play excellently ( and lets face it not before time ) I still maintain his was by far the best - and easiest chance missed.
