Beth looks a cheap broodmare prospect at three grand considering shes a winner and a sister to a stakes winner. Think Motaffany could do ok over hurdles and 12,500 was reasonable. Can't place shimyran but the fact jim dreaper was willing to pay 28,000 for a flat horse suggests to me that he has the right ingrediants to win over jumps. Chelsea Lately is one that could be placed to effect in small races next year and three grand wasn't unreasonable for her too.

Heard that a horse that was 120 grand a year ago went for about 5 grand. ... don't know name.

Tom must be turning in his grave at the thought of Jim paying that amount of money out on a ex-flat horse.

No doubt his old rival from that time Vincent O'brien must be laughing his socks off . :^0

Forlovenormoney was bought for €90,000 as a 3 year old in June 07

Was resold as a four year old for £800.

Won a PTP for Pat Doyle as five year old on the 4 May this year,

Was then sold for £85,000 to go into training with PF Nicholls 2 weeks later.

The Aga draft wasn't too bad.

Shalambar who won 2 races for Ml Halford went for I believe €65k to UK trainer A Carroll.

Shalambar went for €80000. Kargali at €51000 might turn out to be a good buy, Luke Comer bought it.
