Bookies carry on reached an all time low last night with Paddies putting up a thread here trying to Hedge (more of an arb trade if you ask me) on the scorecast for the World Cup game.
I'm amazed not more people picked up on it. It was shameful. Even Marmion wouldn't have done it in my view and that is saying something |

We are sitting on 7 figure liabilities here and still laying it every minute. We have drained all possible hedging resources with traditional bookmakers. We have put up 2k @ 40 to lay here in the Scorecast market to try and get rid of some more - this is as good a lay as there is lads - it's much bigger all over the industry but we simply can't get anymore on! I don't care if they hedge on here, that's a traders job.
But asking punters like ourselves to mop up giving them a guaranteed profit off mugs without actually giving us decent value into the bargain is galling. Stick the money up at a fair price and/or shut up. |
