If we get an away goal, France will just up their game and should have no problem securing the neccesary result.

Of course we have a chance. The French might try to coast through and we won't go down without a fight. If it is 0-0 in the second half they might get jittery. Its as much about can they do it.

even if it were 0-0, they'd have extratime as a safety net

and they have a bench, we don't

They need to throw tactics out the window, wont happen under trap.

They need to break legs, spill blood for the jersey and just physically batter France. Trying to out pass, out pace France wont work.

They need to do a wimbledon ;)

Honestly if we were 50/1 to qualify i still wouldn't waste money backing it.

By:

When: 15 Nov 09 23:08
What a stupid question.Why would i lay 50/1 when i can lay at 9/1 ?
I wont be laying anyway cos im too patriotic and would love to see it happen but lets be honest its not gonna happen.

I dont think we'll qualify either but Id be too happy to have a punt at 50/1,odds are more like 10/1. I know Ive been negative myself on here but you'd swear France were completely unstoppable the way people are going on. They were poor last night, and they got very lucky with that goal. Its one away goal we need and were back on track to at least try to qualify.

Well you don't make Ireland a bet at 50/1, ergo you should be willing to lay 50/1. Unless of course you were talking shyte.

if we get the first goal, we'll see france bottle it in a massive way. don't see why we cant do it.

The fact we are going to have to chase the game makes it very difficult. You can always hope. Can't see it myself. Just hope we have a good go. Don't really have the players at present and with what trap has at his disposable i think we've done well. Really need ireland and reid to come back in for the next campaign. Can stand ireland's attitude but he needs to come back as does reid. Reid is playing good stuff for sunderland at the moment and has sorted his weight problem.

We played them off the bloody park under Brian Kerr in Paris and still only got a 0-0
I cant see how we will get a win playing with an inferior midfield - I'll be watching and praying but not really believing.

Would 'love it' in Kevin Keegan fashion to steal it in the last minute and wipe the smile of Blatters and Platini's smug faces though !
