possibly because hes worked closely with him, I assume that would enable him know more about his standard of fitness, technique and attitude.
Unless the janior plays with Celtic, coached at Celtic, or was involved with the Irish squad, he might well be, and I could be wrong. |

I don't think any other player apart from Duff & Doyle is remotely near McGeady technically. The boys on here slating him probably were warming benches for their local juvenile teams when they tried playing football. It's like a local wino giving opinions on gourmet food, most of the posters here probably don't appreciate the finer aspects of a player like McGeadys ability, did you watch no less a shrewd judge as Arsene Wenger double mark him in the two Champions League games??? obviously he rates his ability to go to that effort.

Tradesport - Dear lord what utter guff!!....The only bench warmer we need to focus on is the man that was warming the one at croke park last night for 80 minutes. Why was one so technically gifted left to assume that role? The man is overweight and overrated. Why is he still at celtic if he is so good? If you cannot get into last nights Irish starting 11 your days are numbered!!

Little bit of anti-Celtic bias to be detected on this thread.
The Galwayman referred to Celtic fans as Pikeys before and now on**ging McGeady. In all Celtics European clashes this season McGeady has been essentially double-marked. Now the fact that he is considered Celtics most dangerous player is not in itself a huge achievement given the current crop but do at least give the boy some credit. |

I'm not anti Celtic, I'm anti McGeady. I don't watch Celtic matches so I cannot comment on how he performs for them. I can only comment on his performances for Ireland. He is constantly giving the ball away. He looks lovely on the ball but he is an absolute liability. |
