2.Osana . This is a good novice chase and too short at 11/8 .

Any opinions on the 3 0 clock lads?? luks a nice beginners chase!! Colm murphys horses seem ta be in nice order, wonder has he kimberlite king ready ta go first time over fences?

12.55 Looking forward to seeing 90thminute back, but is up against 2 race fit horses. Not much between Noble Prince & Oscar DD on form, so gotta be backing ODD at 4//1!!

1.55 Opertaion Hou seems all the rage, too short for me, and don't like backing chasers that are supposedly well-in over hurdles. Prob no bet here for me. Token selection - Seefin Dancer ew@20/1.

2.30 Big Zeb clearly the best on show, but fto against fit horses, will take a chance on Carthalawn incase BZ is not fit enough.

3.00 All eyes on Osana here, fitness and going a concern, would never have faced ground this bad i'd guess, but has won twice on soft in England. Realt D a n/r. Roberto Goldback won fto last year and will love the ground looks the obvious danger. Wickham Street looks good ew value at 12/1.

3.30 Another cracking race, Catch Me should win, but is very short against decent animals, esp on only his 2nd chase start. Gonna take a chance on Copsiano at a very big price.

West Ship Master ew has to be the bet in the next. Jock did a good job last time out.

well he got up anyway but it looked bad. fell at last and was struggling to get up. thought he was badly injured. glad to hear he walked away.

Congratulations on picking up another nice pot EMI. The exploitation of an utterly ridiculous system. I find it incredible how any horse can be allowed to race off a 40lb lower mark than a recent winning mark however ordinary that hurdles form was. Not taking into account improvement since his last hurdles effort over a year ago makes a mockery of the system imo.

Cheers GS, though I wouldn't call it a nice pot. I know they have a different system in the UK but I am totally in favour of the Irish system. Houdini was rated on what he had achieved over hurdles and it just transpires that he has improved appreciably since his last hurdle race. There was no skullduggery or anything like that.
I find these "well-in" horses fascinating to weigh up. They can be very underpriced at times. Punters have to decide whether they are simply much better in one discipline than the other, or if they are indeed the handicap blots they look to be. A pro-punter I know thought Houdini was a 1-4 shot yesterday.

Too damn right he was! It`s why I didn`t back him because I could see no reason why he wasn`t odds on. You were fully entitled to expoit the system and I certainly wasn`t suggesting there was anything untoward about it, just baffled by it really. Certainly opens up more options long term. Thought it was a bigger pot by the way. :p

I was in Navan yesterday and the best price I saw about OH was 6/4 . Even though I thought he would win I just couldnt bring myself to back him . A 30 runner h'cap and over the years I have seen many horses similiarly thrown in that didnt do the business . Anyhow EMI ,well done . He seems a much stronger horse this season and if his jumping holds up he must have a great in the Troytown .
