Goin away again :|

Tadhg Kennelly has informed the Kerry County Board of his decision to return to the professional ranks of Aussie Rules.

As of now it is unclear to which club he will play for, but it is almost certain that he will resume his role as player and coach with the Sydney Swans, though St Kilda also are believed to have made him a sizeable offer.

Reacting to the news, Jerome Conway, Chairman of the Kerry County Board said that it came as no surprise but he would be missed.

He explained: 'Tadhg has notified us officially that he is returning to Australia. I suppose as things were turning out over the last few weeks, it is no great surprise to us now.

'He did very well while he was here. He fulfilled his burning ambition to win an All-Ireland senior medal and emulate his late father. He certainly helped Kerry's cause in a big way this year.'

Maybe the voice of the disgruntled sporting Kerry supporters was a factor . Sad to depart though with a bit of cumulus nimbus hanging around , medal or no medal .

Its a bit bizarre that nothing has been said in relation to the job that kennelly got, gone from the area for 10 years and he picks up a nice job as a coach despite having no experience in the job.

we all know what the real story is, but nothing was said about it. i know that other counties have the same positions but it must have been a kick in the teeth for any young lads in kerry trying to get a job to it put on a plate to him.

Yeah Tony he is a wimp alright. Wins an AFL medal with the Sydney Swans and an All Ireland with Kerry. Pretty poor achievement to brag about. And your goodself ? Your name defines wimp. Get a life.

Not a wimp, but a coward yes.

I'm pleased he's going back to the other thugs.

Heard he's been trying hard to polish the one he has but it's so tarnished that he's sending it to Duffy's smelting plant in Sligo for a complete overhall.SadSadSad
