Well every other Tom , Dick or Harry does , so why not me ?

I know dozens of people with All-Ireland medals , some with multiples , but to my knowledge none of them has written a book . So why does Kennelly ?

Surprised he was not on the Late late Show , nearly everyone else has been on plugging their books .

Can understand a manager in the old days writing a book after a long and victorious campaign eg Micko and Boylan , but in these days most of the managers get very well paid . So the book route I see mainly as an earner on top of "expenses " .

As for the "trollops " and "personalities " , I wonder who buys the books . I was in a series of bookshops last night ( shopping for maps ) and almost without exception there were hundreds of biographies / autobiographies for sale , all for different people , and all for about £2 or £3 approx . The best thing the current economic shakeout could do is eliminate the "easy buck " associated with a bit of notoriety or transient fame .

On second thoughts though , guess I will keep it under wraps for another 20 years or so ( I should be so lucky ) .

I know Nell McCafferty's "Nell" bombed, i.e. flopped, in spite fo much plugging etc., on chatshows and the like.

Funny 'oul world bookselling as yer trying to gauge what will be in vogue and topical some months (or a year) hence.

There's obviously a market for these books though, I was flying home from golf in Malaga the other weekend and four people on the plane that I noticed were reading Brian Cody's book.

If people buy them, then why shouldn't people write them. Anyway I'd rather read Kennelly's book as he has competed in a professional sport and isn't just you're stereotypical GAA bogger.

The only trouble with paying money for Kenelly's story is ...he's more
than likely to change it next week and say something else.
That's what happens when your eyes are rolling around in the back of
your head. You cant see straight and you forget what you said first.

I'll write the foreword ......

for a modest fee of course . :D

Plus ,I know a guy who lives next door to a woman who went out for a few months with a chap whose brother-in-law played on the same team as Ryan Tubridy's cousin. He might be able to get you on the LLS show to give the book a mensh.
