Vubiant , nothing wrong with writing or promoting a book . Its when it passes for entertainment that it grates . A lot of the talk shows in the seventies onwards used people who had written books as staple interview materail , but often the people concerned had a good story to tell . But that formula is outdated , and when the X-factor is pre-dominant , "opportunity knocks " for someone with a fresh approach .
Watched the Late Late last 2 weeks , 2 fairly decent interviews in among the dross . But nothing in the "Parky " mould . Viewers will just switch over . |
