Calm before the storm, however the proles are being spun out by weather men and ladies who deliver this terror weather trope on a regular basis.

Off tomorrow with 50mph gusts forecast and fingers crossed for Saturday imo. But with winds not forecast till afternoon, they might try to get in the first couple of races and then bank on the microclimate (or is that just in March?).
|
|
By:
Wouldn't it be ironic, given the forecast, if the fav in the first...Sunny South West...obliged?...Cheltenham is considered to be in the South West, btw, whereas Evesham, for eg, only about 10 miles North of the course is South Midlands

anthropomorphising storms gets the proles all jiggy.
that petite bint on GMTV has written a book, unsurprisingly about weather actually. She spends all year pushing weather p04n tales. Hottest days since yesterday, wettest day since the last one. Toadstools make good umbrellas for very short people. |

The rain was torrential through th early hours not raining at the moment but the sky is Grey i would bet long odds on it will be soft even heavy on Saturday. Have a good day. Looking forward to a nice curry this evening. Ronnie. |

Much Appreciated Ronnie, have a good day.

They're coping with the hurricane conditions pretty well so far. It could almost pass for being autumnal.
|

By:
Went up, Soft but not testing, should be similar tomorrow...looks like most racing be done by time the next rain arrives.

Times showing on the good side of good to soft, JPR ONES race was actually above standard.
|
|
By:
JPR One only ever wins on good ground or faster.
I think you are about spot on regarding the ground, Glasgow. |

More risk at Doncaster today probably. Heavy yesterday and in the weather warning area for today.
|
|
By:
Was odd yesterday went up thru belting down rain standing water everywhere around course and the racing seemed unaffected.

Just caught up with my mate who was down there for w/e , reckoned missed the worst of the weather . We all used to do the 3 days as annual members for years . Now he has an add on upgrade to the elite 500 who get in the Insurance Bar , tea/ coffee racecard and same seats as we used to have . Annual members are now elsewhere . Asked him how the hell he managed to win money - layed Sundays lengths , but can only get on in euros in ireland , times change .
