600 for a 1% share, then 40 a month to train it. Prizemoney tonight was 5,400 so thats £54 each back already.

does it cost 4k a month to train a horse ?

No,TTT

TTT owners pocket 80% of prize money.

Obviously when horses are out of training the fees should go do down (ie flat-say Nov-Feb). 48 large p.a does seem as though it isn't great VFM.

As Aceform bleats about paying £97 per month for his Heating, that is extremely unlikelyLaugh

The business plan is heavily weighted in his favour. He seems to have a market for his product though.

He has to put a cap on how many people can join…..

Why need a cap?
The more "gullibles" the better

A cap is good if they win a group one or classic…..then they are guaranteed for a good payday

By:
TameTheTiger
When: 21 Oct 26 20:25
Middleham Park Racing has over 1,400 individual owners and members across more than 120 active racehorse syndicates, with an average of about 16 to 20 registered owners per individual horse syndicate

He  Bought one at the sales 100 K week or so ago , 40 x 2.5 % shares  ,  Plus the fees  ,2.5 bags,  oner a Month there after , they all seem happy Enough

He seems to provide Exec box for the Owners , where's that Money come from ?
By:
TameTheTiger
When: 21 Oct 26 22:26
money for the boxes comes from the prizemoney won by the owners themselves if ive read it right.
By:
TameTheTiger
When: 21 Oct 26 22:28
You pay upfront to own your share and then an all inclusive payment of £40 per month per 1% to cover all of the costs associated with having a horse in training. All of the owners money goes into a pot, all the invoices come out of that pot and whatever is left in the pot goes back to you owners at the end of the year or we can use it to have a huge day in a box etc.

Think it was a GBB race so £20k bonus
By:
TameTheTiger
When: 22 Oct 26 10:28
yes it was. bash said 14k to the owners 7k to the breeders. maths not his strong point.
By:
TameTheTiger
When: 22 Oct 26 10:29
When a registered horse wins a GBB race, the bonus payout is distributed among the team:
• Racing Owner: 65%
• Breeder: 20% (split or combined via registration rules)
• Trainer: 7.5%
• Jockey: 5%
• Stable Staff: 2.5%

I presume the horses value will have now increased...probably more that than backing the horse. All about the dream isn't it. Good on them.
