Another nail in the coffin for the genuine in-running player. Actual pics a waste of time. Fastest finger first watching dots moving....or simply the best GPS-programmed bot.
|

Not sure how many bets are going to get matched if punters are looking at a GPS diagram, checking the live pictures for how well or badly the horse is actually travelling, and only then clicking on the price which is no longer there.

current live GPS view is in grid form, an overhead will give position on track. I'm sure programmers will use it to their advantage.

I think a lot of peeps don't understand this techs potential.
Also it's not just about ir as I have sayed b4, it's not really gps it's a hybrid fixed loop,it's dynamics are endless, it's not just the horses vitals pre race and going to post but position relative to each other being extracted before the run and number crunched to within a micron of thar lives. Each horse will have its digital data dna type signiture and all da data will be compared to it's previous runs many times a second, the effect will produce horses that cannot win quickly so may appeal to those that used to that type of layer but those looking to back a winner ir at the current liquidity will be disappointed. BF should consider imo trying some pre race no ir markets imo, as for most people all that's going to hap is an all singing all dancing bot is going to be cleaning up (has this hap b4 lol) Also I heard certain trainers were removing the patch in parade and putting it back on at start although that was a while ago. My own opinion is it will suck what little value remains, is prob responsible for a few big pre race drifters and will offer very poor to little to zero value in the run, just some poor prices on thos with a chance. I wonder if the vets on course have access and if they will act on irregular digital signature pre race, do vets even have the power to remove one, perhaps the stews should be watching too and Ness pull them out pre race. |

Does it show how easy or not a horse is travelling, does it give you a sense of the confidence the jockey has or hasn't got, does it show up the niggle the jockey just gave the horse.....thought not.....I'm out!!!

Your really not getting it, it would show before the jockey even thought about starting to niggle, prob in paddock lol. Human v machine.... Human 100/1 and thats being very generous. How will it be able to see that horse is slightly boxed in but the jockey looks like he has plenty of horse under him and I take a punt that the gap will come and bet accordingly....how does it see all that, how does it anticipate? |

It can't and it doesn't.
Let the desperados try it,duffy. |

Hasn't Gruss had TPD data and maps for years? The only difference here is the integrated betting interface and GPS positions plotted on a 3D map rather than 2D.

Duffy :I don't play ir, not because it's not something that interests or because I am a poor ir player, rather the opposite (imo) . Rem when the old analog TV signal was in play and it was a fair playing field, after that it was those with fastest pics and so much harder and released quickly (and expensively) it wasn't what it appeared.
Moving on I have tried to warn those that think it's a worth time method, with the advent of ever increasingly sophisticated systems, and they have to be sophisticated because the general gps pulse available to civilians is just one per second hence my frequent objections to peeps calling it gps. It's a hybrid system utilising a closed loop radio frequency, the GPS is just for reference really and fixed point mapping like the course, start and finish points, I'm not a boffin nor do I pretend to be and would welcome some accurate info on the latest finer details on how the system works in totality. I am not knocking your ability, I am suggesting you don't stand a chance of beating this system, the human brain is like a peanut compared to a modern computers capability to process multiple data rapidly and consistly accurately. The example you gave :the system would see the horses shorter stride against say the three in front and would instantly do a calc to ever runner in field those further in front and those behind,it would or could identify the horse as being one that is catching the eye and do the backs if value and put in lays as per how it was programmed. Each horse could have an over all power value which is constantly being adjusted, this is just the sort of scenario that would be fully exploited. Of course in a 2yo race with no previous signature you might have a chance but even then your gunna have folks giving them some form of likely digital performance power rating based on breeding, looks trainer ect, but just going to the start will give system a lot of info. You might see one that's travelling but systems will be seeing everything at once always and continuously and adjusting seemlessly, it really makes no sense to think a human can compete with this technology. I have not mentioned the horses individual traits and charteristics like bridle osses v those that just keep pulling it out, ndividual idiosyncrasies ect not to mention the jockeys, would like thems to be patched up too lol. As I say I would love for someone to come on and give a full and accurate account of the systems, how they work and how they are used. Going forward they should be a great training aid. Cheers. |

sew a good player..but no participation..strange decision. |
|
By:
Not that strange. He can read a race better than most, pick out plenty of winners....but can't beat those with big time advantages and/or technology. It's what most people on here have been dealing with from day dot.

zero interest in the technology, enjoy watching the racing. And as you've said the Big Money ship has long sailed so £20K pa on drones, or whatever it is, takes a lot of getting back with the empty boxes. Just scrape a few quid backing at bad value.
|
|
By:
Cheers swifty, yea exactly, can read a race but of no worth without paying dearly to steal a few seconds , and that's prob how the new tech will be play out too.
Glad someone got the gen jist of my post. Tbh I do use ir market for back to lays but as pointed out so many times on here often ya just giving away value on the winners, laying the looosers back a bit harder , try laying back as short as poss but it's difficult getting that price correct, market is too good. Irish racing ir a law unto itself, even pre race it just seems diff. |
