Yep. A drop in the ocean. How many escaped selection and detection? Some fancies ran like dogs for no reason.

so all the pre chelt rumours at the time that he,d had a set back were true

And his own vet admits to being in the stable at 11.55am yet they all don't know how a local anaesthetic got into it's system!! FFS it was kicked in the jaw on the 3rd and had the painkiller then and on the day of the race, the 11th it had it again obviously given by his vet at 11.55. Conveniently no camera in that part of the stables but she was seen there anyway! If this had been Joe Bloggs with 5 horses woiuld have been 6 months ban but it's Willie so nothing to see here then!

Unknown Source ? it must have got into the Carrots

The RP article seems to be suggesting that there was CCTV in all stables but the footage that panel were particularly interested in seeing was conveniently not available because "the hard drive containing the footage had been misplaced". Quite literally Nothing To See Here.

Sarah Crowther KC, judicial panel chair, said that the “BHA and Mr Mullins have agreed the proposed sanctions, which in my judgment are appropriate having regard to the Table of Penalties”.
Crowther added: “I am also satisfied that the culpability is low. There is no suggestion that Mr Mullins or any of his staff knew of any administration of mepivacaine, and the BHA accepts that reasonable precautions were in place.” |

By:
Mullins probably paid it from his back pocket and 'tank you very much Mrs'

By:
Walofs, any other trainer and it would barely have got a mention.
By:
Tiger, has the nutjob you ate turned your brain mad too? Exactly the opposite is true.
By:
Mepivacaine is a potent, rapid-acting local anesthetic used in equine medicine for nerve blocks, diagnostic lameness examinations, infiltration, and epidural or intra-articular anesthesia.
It didnt make the horse run faster, nor it make the horse run slower ffs. He was beaten by less than a length by a stable mate with a rating of 153 as opposed to his 156, nothing to get excited about. But of course the nutters on this forum will try and make something of it. DQ and a fine is appropriate. |
By:
What about the Carrots ?
By:
Not one person on here has thought it was to make it run faster or slower. Everyone can see it was to mask the pain from the kick to its jaw. Taking that further down the line No one would want the use of painkillers masking lameness etc would they if it had been legs involved.
By:
Yes, quite obviously the purpose is to make it run faster than it otherwise would have, due to feeling pain.
By:
You obviously don't know the side effects Cider , that apart the amount detected was minimal and would have no effect.
By:
I fear you are missing the SALIENT POINT here gents.
"Sarah Crowther KC, judicial panel chair" Why is some silly t@rt the "judicial panel chair"? So many idiot WIMMIN in positions of seniority in the legal profession and too many low-sp3rm-count men who do well in this environment. |

Being a diamal simp will not get you laid - hope that helps

What are you claiming was the most likely purpose of administering pain killing drugs to a racehorse very close to a race, CagliariG?
By:
Anyone on here who doesn't accept the regular doping of horses as fact is deluding themselves.
The pathetic acceptance of excuses why the trainer isn't guilty & the paltry fines only exacerbate the situation. If someone actually got a deserved sentance & started singing like a Canary the whole show would come tumbling down. Keep going lads, we know it's not your fault. Pi$$ing in stables, dodgy Polos, rogue vets sabotaging horses. WALOFS. |
By:
we no with uk trainers using BUTE in usa that if it was legal in uk horses would be eyeballs out with painkillers
