....Well, I got back in the UK from the US last weekend, ( Hurricane dodging ),
....My contribution to this debate is that I would really miss the banter on the forum if Betfair closed it down.
...Yes, it does get acrimonious between a well known, small group of "combatants."....but there are also some very thoughtful threads about the actual sport itself....often from obviously far more knowledgeable folks than myself.......they are to be welcomed.
....In fairness to our good friend RICO (+ +)....although he does get very abrasive if provoked, I reckon he never intervenes negatively in a genuine thread started by a "serious" contributor to  the Sport.

Let's welcome more threads about horses and trainers...nostalgia....and future races...................and just let our noisy neighbours slug it out !

They could trim the forum,pointless having loads of multiple menus when loads never get any posts.

Combine sone,leave the popular ones as is.

'They', could have also set it up so your account is linked to your ISP and therein ensuring if you got kicked off the site you wouldn't be able to create another account using the aforementioned ISP.
The psycopathic, narcissistic control freaks on 'ere have been allowed to bully away others for years knowing they can just create a new username.
This is why the gaff has ended up this way. Bereft of posters.
Blame sits squarely at the feet of the forum owners.
