Goodnight

Leif’s been saying for the last ten years that the forum ‘won’t be here at the end of the year’. One year he might be right!

This place just keeping sane people off twitter
I’d be banned instantly on there
Or face book don’t want my opinions **** house state it’s all become
People talking shop having opinions
Getting the value all but gone
No point giving out a crumb
Cos where all in that same water hole
That’s dry up
This place goes will do many a us favour

Keyboard Warriors day in sun is over

the stats never lie!

....Well, I got back in the UK from the US last weekend, ( Hurricane dodging ),
....My contribution to this debate is that I would really miss the banter on the forum if Betfair closed it down.
...Yes, it does get acrimonious between a well known, small group of "combatants."....but there are also some very thoughtful threads about the actual sport itself....often from obviously far more knowledgeable folks than myself.......they are to be welcomed.
....In fairness to our good friend RICO (+ +)....although he does get very abrasive if provoked, I reckon he never intervenes negatively in a genuine thread started by a "serious" contributor to  the Sport.

Let's welcome more threads about horses and trainers...nostalgia....and future races...................and just let our noisy neighbours slug it out !

Good summary Richgit

.......Thanks Brian........it looks like you and I have shared the last 24 years of joy and despair on here........cheers.

Rico and family are the forum equivalent to Matt Chapman..Poor old Cairo's got some job keeping them in order..

leafy bemoans the disappearance of posters while reporting any who laff at his nonsense

good riddance he says yet follows people around on it. 15k posts, all stinkers

he says its a 'cesspit' yet carries on posting from his pontins holiday dormitory

where did u get that from leif ?

ty for the accolades richy

They could trim the forum, pointless having loads of multiple menus when loads never get any posts.

Combine sone, leave the popular ones as is.

Minor sports etc
USA stuff
Just have less options on the menus, then have threads on there for stuff.

basketball forum had 2 posts since 2023

They could trim the forum
'They', could have also set it up so your account is linked to your ISP and therein ensuring if you got kicked off the site you wouldn't be able to create another account using the aforementioned ISP.
The psycopathic, narcissistic control freaks on 'ere have been allowed to bully away others for years knowing they can just create a new username.
This is why the gaff has ended up this way. Bereft of posters.
Blame sits squarely at the feet of the forum owners.
Too late now in any case. Writing is on the wall. No point shelling out money for a toilet that no-one uses.

Don’t know how it works, but surely if you get banned, presume you can’t just change name and continue,

But hey hoy,who knows the the mad crazy world of betfair forum.

Bring back chit chat, then possibly horses, football, NFL, cricket, that's it
I appreciate others like golf etc

impressive CV imo

should be an MP

singing my praises again, is he

This the person who openly admitted 'infiltrating' a betting shop branch with a bozo mate with the intention of doctoring overnight greyhound wagers.
This would have put the shop staff in the frame as possible fraudsters and therein threaten their livelihoods.

scumbag
self-confessed alcoholic.
thief
fraudster
kicked off the forum but keeps crawling back like a cockroach does Mitolo/aka Busytool.
I thank youz

I like the sound of this guy too....we could be bestys

Unlikely, he doesn't do Strongbow much preferring cheap plonk from his local Tossco expresso.
Gl though.

Thatchers or Pale Ale these days.

he once tripped over it going in the Auction Room.

I joined when the online forum that was called something like uk.discussion.horseracing or some such which seemed to be run independently of any company declined. I first came across Hugh Taylor on there. I do enjoy dipping in here occasionally and tend to avoid the shouting matches. Like many oldies I enjoy some reminiscing but also like to look ahead. Anyone with a genuine interest in the future of the sport should be positive and supportive to those who have influence over this dreadful Government who seem to be copying the puritans of the distant past in destroying any form of pleasure. Are there any other racing discussion groups online?

Like loads of the internet, now ruined by rich, over opinionated old men with faaaaaaaaar too much time on their hands.

im not that old but ty.
