Mugs in behind - Skelton, Sheehan, Burke and Gethings.

I backed this horse a few times last season - thankfully including the gambled win - when to put it mildly he was very often ridden 'quietly'. Today he was suddenly on the front end, not appearing as if he had any problem at all racing at the other end of the field. He may have even enjoyed himself. Unless you are in the know as to these switches, what chance have punters got?

Dundee Law, another horse ridden differently to his previous starts, and at odds with the way Skelton bumper horses are usually ridden. Strong in the market close to the off.

Drum and Wonders making themselves look silly here. Dundee Law was trained by another Trainer for his first 2 races. Don't you think Dan was entitled to use the tactics if felt would work better for the horse?

I know the horse was trained by someone else, but I described his two previous runs correctly. Did you know that Dan thought that front running was the way to go today? No, and I don't suppose 99.99% of people did either. That set against a background of holding up the vast majority of his bumper horses. Even Apiafi* recognised that. There are three reasons for running horses out the back - schooling runs/educational runs - take your pick, attempting to disguise ability, and just being tactically inept.

* Love to know where this place is that Josh thinks Skelton trains - AlKester?

Do you mean in bumpers or all races in general? Either way I completely disagree
