20 runner flat race due off at 15.00 hrs. At that time all 20 are aimlessly milling round behind stalls. Finally one is loaded and loading goes fairly smoothly apart from two who are at least 30 yds behind the stalls.
Both awkward to load but finally at 15.08 race is off and the horse you've backed has got fractious due to the wait and is never in contention.

Gimmicks like draws for draws, races for greys, races for ladies and so on.

Refusal to admit there are bad rides or unlucky rides: everything has to be brilliant or bendy depending whether the speaker backed the winner or not.

Refusal to admit some trainers and jockeys are worse than other trainers and jockeys. Curiously, at the same time, pundits will praise some trainers and jockeys as BETTER than others but this apparent inconsistency passes them by.

its happening more often when seemingly the less fancied horse wins over more fancied horse its seems to be deliberate ploy by connections
