Just watched the first 2 races today, one from Leicester and the other from Brighton, what struck me is what good/firm looks like nowadays, because it looks an awful lot like soft

Leicester was a quick enough time, likely heavily watered and still firm below the top.

courses so often seem to have 'false' ground these days, which cuts up and looks a bit like soft

1st race brighton well run race over 5s above std for 10f...not even close to a g/f time
