Anyone else spot £1million to back the winner at 1.01/1.02 for a split second near the line?

no. used to do them trying to keep away from them. hard enuff without being 3 bottles to the good

but there are occasional wacky events at places like those. just have to sit through too much carp and i cant be @rsed. there was one a few weeks ago when the jokey fell off the jolly coming out of the gates and the horse came running down the outside and was backed into long odds on. i laid it but then thought i must have got the wrong one and stopped. but not this time

field bets rarely a good idea

except in small fields, but never in the u.s. they just never get too big
