2.25 Learning (9/4) - Richard Hannon youngsters running in conditions stakes at Newbury are always of interest to me and I thought the way this one ran LTO against a well thought of Goldolphin runner was eye catching. Turned out quickly with Dobbs on the back for an owner he is utilised to great effect under is a good thing in my book and 9/4 is a price worth risking on.
3.00 PRICLING (2/1) - double handed owners at the top of the market and The Haggas horse is one I’ve always thought could be quite good. Given time off after poor run in height of summer, this Kingman gelding will appreciate the mile trip at ascot. Looks an autumn kind of horse and even though the colours are linked well to the Gosdons, I’d side with Haggas here.
4.45 CRANACHAN (10/11) - LTO winner, upped 9lbs, looks like staying handicap at end of month is with in scope and this will surely be on the agenda for this one. Looks smarter than the rest of these.
