4.40 LORD BERTIE (9/2) - 2nd last time out at haydock under testing conditions 6F was step back in right direction. Has gone well previously in this race as has a liking for this track. Finished 6th of 17 when last at this track in the height of summer and will be much more suited to todays conditions then on this occasion. That was off 82. This mark is obtainable and looks sure to go well again

5.13 AIGEAR (7/2) - no Ayr meeting would be complete with out Jim Goldie and he saddles two here under his regular jocks Laura Young and Paul I know the time of Day Mulrennan. I’ve gone for Paul’s mount who needs autumn ground, won this last year and is turned out quickly for this kind of trip to score after a return to form.

3.08 MEHMAS CHAMPION (11/2) caused a boil over latest when finally coming good and has been found a similar handicap to follow up. Looked like he had a bit in hand when winning last time out as once he had got to the lead he was always holding the only challenger in the last furlong. More to come off 3lbs higher, conditions to suit
