How often does ado's run?

He was yet another one for that old 'system' whereby a first run on faster ground with no previous form on it reaps dividends.
It's as if connections thought it's worth taking the chance and finding out on the big day.

Like the stunning Queen Anne victory for the rag Ten Bob Tony whose previous 18 runs had NONE with the 'F' word in the going
description...and he was previously withdrawn several times when there'd been no rain.

He was well on my radar as I suspected he fitted the profile of something that could turn up in the highest grade and provide
a shock so he'd been 'behind my ear' for some time - I just didn't anticipate it happening at Royal Ascot...more like in The
Moulin or Foret though the QE2 was likely to be his season's main aim....when there'd be every likelihood of very soft ground
and he might be able to 'steal' a big one by almost by default, as most of the opposition would struggle in the ground...and
may also be worn out at the end of the season.

Unfortunately, I suspected the owner just fancied a day out at the Royal meeting so I wasn't on...though I was slightly tempted
the previous night when he was hovering around 120 on here, but ultimately...he wriggled free from my betting slip
