The nearest part of the M6 motorway to Ayr Racecourse is at its northern terminus near Gretna / Carlisle (Junction 45).
The distance depends on the type of measurement: Straight-line (as the crow flies) distance: Approximately 68 miles (109 km).
Driving distance: Approximately 80 to 82 miles
While the Scottish A74(M) / M74 motorway network spans closer to Ayr, it only officially becomes the M6 once it crosses the English border just south of Gretna.

Please Don't ever take up Taxi Driving - rico - although, that admittedly, is a remote possibility.
