Key horse for shortie backers today. Having missed the boat since picking him out on debut not inclined to get involved at not much better than 1/1. It's one of those that looks a little bit too obvious, particularly after the Appleby shorties all went in yesterday. Small field and a chance of a messy race and always the chance at the back end it might be one race too many on unusually quick ground. Unfortunately, nothing amongst the opposition looks anything like a solid each-way.

applebys 3 pound better off for a neck beating could reverse the form but at the prices if having a bet cut a dash had every chance a furlong or so out at deuville the unbeaten winner looks very good and has gone in again goodwood might not have suited he would be my play ew and 4places on here .
adaay of scarlet more exposed than most but mostly a solid reliable performer not much to find on ratings .

Can't have too many shorties winning can we? It's what seems to happen despite nothing blindingly obvious against him. Too keen, off the bridle too soon, but you would still have expected him to have picked up better than that. Perhaps a better jock would still have got him home?
