An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately one furlong out, involving the winner, WYKEHURST PARK, ridden by Oisin Murphy and CRACKING IDEA (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane. Murphy was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he switched his mount left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Loughnane to take a check and become unbalanced against the rail.

Hugo, if the stewards were to charge a jockey with dangerous riding do they also have to disqualify the horse, or can they do one without the other?

The Stewards will, where a horse or Jockey causes interference, which is not Dangerous Riding, and the Stewards are satisfied that the interference improved the placing of the horse in relation to the horse or horses with which it interfered, place the horse that caused the interference behind the horse or horses with which it has interfered.
