Statistics have become more and more meaningless thedealer (and lazy).
If you delve past the most simplistic statistics (Prize money earned) he is average on 3 year olds and doesn't. do tremendously well on 2 year olds. His A/E value stat is low (0.9). He is no worse than many and quick to drop his hands - An Audley Harrison type. If statistics determined ability and outcomes AI would be making everybody a millionaire. The Gretzky brothers are the highest scoring siblings in Ice Hockey. Wayne scored 894 and Brent score 1. I'll do your list one day, maybe easier to start with the jockeys you have never slagged off, as it will be much smaller. Jason came back from a horror injury and virtually had to start from scratch. He rebuilt his career through hard work and talent. Of all his rides a year I find it a bit sad that people have a go about his honesty based on one ride. They will never be perfect but he makes less mistakes than most. |
