Racecourses remain listed on Tripadvisor, where users can post reviews and pictures, but tickets cannot be purchased.
This ban comes despite TripAdvisor continuing to sell tickets to watch the BullRun Pamplona in Spain, which campaigners including Peta have branded a “cruel spectacle”.
Since its inception in 1910, the BullRun has resulted in 16 participant deaths. Up to 300 people are injured every year during the event.
The ban follows steps taken to limit the promotion of greyhound racing on the site.
