She beat a field of 8 with half the field over 66/1.Looked good but was a woeful effort really and was avery weak maiden.
She will find it very difficult now in handicap co.a dn is offered at 8.8 for a win.I think it should be a 25/1 chance.

Anyway LAY OF THE DAY LADY GORMIRE @8.8  IN THE  16:28 Chester.

Is lay of the day considered better than lay of the month?

Surely lay of the month trumps lay of the day.

LADY GORMIRE had been held back by racing too freely but settled better when off the mark under a positive ride at Catterick 16 days ago. She's well drawn to employ the same tactics here and could dominate matters. So Sassy won back-to-back handicaps on all-weather at Wolverhampton recently and is thriving but now switches to turf, whilst Sugar Sugar merits respect if she's in the mood.

Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble
when my tips win day after day,
I can’t wait to look in the mirror
’cause I get better looking each day.

My judgement is simply perfection,
my timing is second to none,
while others are studying form books
I’ve already spotted the one.

To know me is to follow me,
to follow me’s part of the plan,
Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble
when I’m such a magnificent man.

The market can drift, steam or wobble,
the forum can rant and complain,
but somehow my glorious selections
just keep on delivering again.

So praise me, admire me, adore me,
and thank me whenever you can,
Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble
when I’m Betfair’s most beautiful man.

he gave a good explanation and the horse was tailed off - i wouldn't mind a 1 to 8 shot every day. And the song - just a bit of fun - lighten up.
