Three on one day. Even in these days of handicap overkill how many days even have two?

Totally agree dd in fact tomorrow will be the first day for a long time I will not be going to a day at the st leger meeting and that’s the reason .
Report jimnast September 9, 2026 6:55 PM BST
I don’t mind 2 year old races but a total of 5 tomorrow.
Report jimnast September 9, 2026 6:58 PM BST
Regarding how many have two, well the third day of the eastern festival (Yarmouth) has two

You ask a question you get an answer but your so far up yourself you can’t even acknowledge the answer dd you more than anyone is the reason this forum is the way it is .

Morning Jimnast. I was out last night and just seen this now. Oddly enough, I had the same thoughts a few years ago and wrote to the course , much on the same lines as you have implied...."2-y-o races this time of the season ...fine..but surely too many, especially nursery handicaps". The  answer was a masterpiece of obfuscation taking 3 long paragraphs to say absolutely nothing! They have 3 days to fill and I suppose there are more 2-y-o's available "cheap" than good older horses, especially with Leopardstown competing.

Not at all dd I’ve always tried to be helpful on this forum for over 1/4 of a century I answered your question about a card containing more than one nursery I would have thought an acknowledgment of that would have been polite, clearly your incapable of that.

Good morning Donegal hope your well

It’s actually 4 days and to be fair Saturday looks a good card and whilst it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea I like Sundays card,I can imagine the type of letter you got back it seems to be the case with racing in the uk.
Report DonegalPrince September 10, 2026 11:19 AM BST
Blimey, I had forgotten about the Sunday. 30 races over 4 days seems a bit excessive to me, but then again, I am not going to be tempted from London. I suppose you would want that if you were a local and this was the big meeting of the year. That is why it is tough to prune races. Most of them, even those on smaller tracks, are important to those who attend.
Report jimnast September 10, 2026 11:39 AM BST
Don’t think to many locals have pre booked as they’ve been handling out free tickets those who have paid in advance are not very pleased .

1 nursery & 1 conditions race would be ample imo

It's ridiculous Betfair does not indicate 16:10 and 16:45 Nursery races are handicaps.

Are all nurseries not handicaps?..
Report impossible123 September 10, 2026 4:53 PM BST
Yes they are handicaps confined to 2 yr olds. Nonetheless, a 'handicap' tag would have been helpful to those less clued-up with horseracing.
Report saxon farm September 10, 2026 4:55 PM BST
You’ve no right to be betting if you don’t know a Nursery is a handicap.
