Good morning. Yes, it seems so. But in this case, they just let her off. Not even the usual community order or suspended sentence. The show actually provided very little insight into the trial, they just showed her bouncing around outside of the court, celebrating the not guilty verdict. Of course we don't exactly know why she got let off, but the evidence was compelling. Perhaps it was plying the addiction/sympathy card.

Do you live there?

I lived in Bath for many years and have enjoyed some long weekends in Brighton.

Portsmouth may have improved since I was last there, but back then, it was the sort of place where the bouncers frisk you before entry to a night club - and if you haven't got a knife - they give you one!


Average price of a terraced house:

Bath - £520k
Brighton - £515k

Portsmouth - £275k

Obviously there is much more to life than property prices - but they tell you quite a lot about a place (imo).

In the fight against irregular migration, Britain is now entering talks with officials in Bangladesh to develop vocational training programs, to empower people to legally migrate instead.

According to official immigration numbers presented to the British House of Commons in June, Bangladeshi nationals currently make up the fifth-largest group of people arriving in the UK to lodge asylum requests.

I'm not sure I have the articulation to answer you Cider but if you ever visit them then you know they are very different. Brighton is certainly more younger and liberal than Bath or Portsmouth and as you say Portsmouth is more of a working man's town. I prefer Bath and Portsmouth probably because of their richer history.

Coincidentally enough I had a trip around Neasden recently, using google maps street view. Unlike you, I was born and raised very close to the area (born park royal, lived in Dollis Hill) and lived there from being a baby, right up to my 20s. Left in the 1990s.

OMG, Neasden used to be a pretty nice area to be, now it's an absolute, palpable shed. That can be seen just from the roadside images. The centre used to be ped, now it's a car park.

As of the latest data, house prices in Neasden are as follows:

The average flat price is £429,163, and the average house price is £731,154.


To be clear (I would have thought it was pretty obvious), I wasn't comparing the architecture of portsmouth to bath. I'm comparing the politics of the people now living in the area and determining the direction of the culture.

Spend a couple of days in Portsmouth, have a wander round, then do the same thing in Bath. I can assure you Bath is a far more pleasant experience.
