AOB is hugely over-rated. The main sycophant in the racing paper ie Racing Post repeated laps up every superlative AOB spouts eg best I've ever trained, etc, etc, etc, year in, year out.
By:
Put your rod away, you absolute cretin,Implausible
By:
O brien tried to delay empsom derby one yr by 20 min by saddling hos horses on the course , he tried something similar in melbourne and the aussies dealt with him appropriately , he think is is above the law but the cracks are now coming with no gallioeo progeny , this was main reason for his success , he will be shown up over next years to be a very average trainer , he uses the york festival to prep his leger horses to mess punter , lambourn was fav other yr at york and half fit at prohibitive price to destroy the punter , o brien never had any regard for punter , he never gives the punter any info only rubbish waffle, he and his family are a stain on racing

By:
Mics can also put his rod away.

AOB is hugely over-rated. Aidan O'Brien has trained over 400 Group 1 and Grade 1 winners on the flat. ![]() |

Which is why he is "Fishing",Hugo

Hugo hscken lets see how many hell train in next coming years without gallilio progeny
By:
henry cecil had 114 group1 winners in the most competitive era of horse racing , with much better horses and trainers then imho, also there is probably 50% more group1 in uk let alone how much more in ireland, france and usa these days compared to cecils pomp days, cecil dint run a battalion of horses in the same race either , so i agree that obrien a great trainer but not the goat for me
By:
With gallileo coolmore would have being nothing , look at o brien ineptness to fix slow starts in states , it keeps happening for such lauded trainer , the yoke in kentuvky didnt break properly out back and gone , u look at that danny murphy a small trainer in ireland he gets his horses out like bullet and thus has won many races being a small operator but this god aidan still cant figure it out , as i said he is going to be shown be a fraud over next 10 yrs , great trainers dont bring horses to france and run like dogs

How to apply for a Trainers Licence
To apply for a Licence to Train, applicants will need to ensure they have completed the modular training programme and meet the requirements set out in the Guidance Notes. Once read, applicants should submit an application. Most of the documents required are outlined on the application form with templates provided to assist the applicant. Once submitted, a member of the Licencing Team will be in touch. Further information can be found in the documents below, including the guidance notes. If you have any further queries, please contact the Licensing Team directly. https://www.britishhorseracing.com/regulation/licensing/trainers/ There you go Mics. |

It's soul destroying to see some decent race horses are being used solely as pacesetters to facilitate another from the same yard eg Hawk Mountain and Puerto Rico - just this season alone. These two horses would have been appropriately and professionally handled if they are residing in another stable.
By:
chelline supposedly coolmore,s latest reincarnation of pegasus [ the 3rd this season alone ] running a trial in the soft ground AOB says he hates for THE ARC which is almost certain to be run in the same soft ground he hates , AOB must be struggling to find runners for the big autumn races

Soft ground?

Well, not by himself, big team of people...
Thanks to Jamie, Finbar,John, Andrew, Shane, Yvonne, Andrew, Seamus, Jamie, Patrick, Timmy, Derek,Vanessa, Kieran, Sarah, Alan, Alice, Michael, Anne-Marie, Keith, Joseph, Ryan, Uncle Tom Cobbly... And then 'the lads' will always have a chat about it later. One man, divisible by many, interview ennui. |

By:
Absolutely agree with Impossible123. If they're not likely to make good stallions they are often discarded. Other trainers could do something with them but Coolmore wouldn't like that
So they get rid. The sport suffers and the billionaires get richer. |

What other stable would (or could) run a Derby winner as a pacemaker (Lambourn), shame the way that horse has been used imo.

AOB clearly has much to learn from the sages on the forum

Mics says it as it is. Galileo was their king. Lets not forget the magic parsnips have been passed onto nappy o'brien..
By:
I wouldn't be blaming O'Brien too much...he's got to keep the lhads happy..running a Derby winner as a blatant pacemaker is obscene and there should be some sort of law in place to prevent it..
