revolves around diamond necklace unbeaten 6 from 6 and will be very hard to beat but there are 3 places up for grabs if she dont perform and cankoura is getting better it seems and not much between her and 2nd fav adventure on a tenuious lines involving sunley could be worth a pop ew or in the without fav markets .also rebel moon looked like 12f was too far travelled well till 2 out in irish oaks could be worth a crack for her good yard .

Aidan did say in his interview before the race - the ground could be a factor due to the necklace being a bit heavier this time round

Just because a horse is unbeaten doesn't make it great. Similar might have been found out with Bow Echo. That said Aventure has rarely found that sort of gear change before.

even messi had the odd off day ,it happens horse could be well clear on the ratings have a stone in hand but they cant tell you they are just not feeling it .

that explains why the jolly hardly moved even when it was beat. couldnt bring meself to lay it as assumed i was behind. wasnt

Diamond Necklace looked a special filly when landing her first six starts, including the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood in July. However, she lost her unbeaten record in the Prix Jean et Louis Romanet at Deauville last time, when beaten two lengths by Aventure, who finished second in the 2024 Arc.
O'Brien believes there were excuses for that reverse, and she could still line up in the big one on October 4.
"We ran Diamond Necklace back a bit quicker last time," he said. "We thought if we went to the Vermeille over a mile and a half and she had a hard race and then we decided to go to the Arc, it could come up a little quick for her.
"That's why we thought we'd go to Deauville for an easier race over a mile and a quarter, but then a good older mare [Aventure] was in it.
"The ground was soft and I hadn't trained her very hard so that we could lean on her a bit for the rest of the season if we wanted to go to the Arc. I think the combination of the ground, the older mare and me not being very hard on her did for her on the day.
"It's possible that she could be trained for Arc weekend, for the Opera or the Arc. She'll have a good, long run-in to the race and we think she'll be tighter and fitter than at Deauville. Maybe I was trying to be a bit clever, as I thought she might be good enough to win at Deauville without being too hard on her."
Admits to leaving her short of work, would love to see the body weights to see how far off she actually was.
Lots got burnt there and it seemed off her taking part at the time.
