It's probably worrying when your best bet of day is in a 22 runner handicap. Says something about the rest of the card.
The pluses are that it looks to be improving, although that might be countered by the weight rise, and it's big field course form is probably better than anything, a win and several near misses. The biggest negative is the jock, but you can't avoid certain bridle jocks all the time, much as I try my best. He doesn't normally need much excuse not to bother with the places, so if the low numbers get a break, you have probably done your money. Win only? He was also on the drift before Pricewise put it up. Don't know if WH have any insight, but they have been particularly keen to get it.
Fingers crossed. I doubt that I will be chasing losses.
Backed him at Goodwood and I respect him. But I've gone for Toca Madera & Lexington Blitz. The later has shown his best form on sharp tracks but he deserves a chance to prove he can do it on a more galloping track since he's been gelded

Probably 5 lengths or more down the whole way, and the rain probably didn't help either. Basically, no chance. If anyone did back it each-way with 365 you just about got paid despite Doyle not riding through the line.

Well, I'm still in the PP! But I'd say 99% of those who've played are too. I did learn something though and that's to never back LB on a galloping track ever again!

Always had a lot of time for Almaqam and he should get closer to Ombudsman on this going and on a course that should suit him better than Ascot. But an inform Ombudsman will be really hard to beat here. If you think the 3yos aren't the best crop, and there's grounds for thinking they're not. Of course CR has been winning well but what's he actually beat? The Horses he beat wouldn't lay a glove on the 'Man'. but he gets 7lbs and is trained by AOB so there's that! lol I think a play of Almaqam to chase home Ombudsman and W/P bets could well be the way to go.
