I noticed that the Doyler rode the Horse right out and even used the whip on him. He obviously hasn't been easy to train and they wanted to get a proper race into him this evening. It will be very interesting to see what he does on his 2nd start, there might not be that much improvement to come but if there is? They could well have another RR on their hands

hands n heels last 2f ie nudged along.

He was riding it from 2 out and gave it a crack with the whip at the furlong pole, specsavers.

If he had given it four more cracks would it have run any faster?

For many years I have contemplated this.
You see a horse win like this one yesterday, and the jockey has pushed it out but not had to use the whip often.
The general opinion is "he was only pushed out to win"
But could the horse have run any faster?
I dont think so.
