A few firms went 25/1 last night. The sort who only do it for show, and only take coppers, anything more and, if it wins, you will probably end up losing your account. Now 4/1.
Looked the part, and started favourite for his only point, but finished very tired, dropping away from 4 out. Subsequent events suggest that it was a strong race. Jock rides plenty of bumper winners, although he didn't exactly excel on the well backed Lanespark at Galway, and the trainer hasn't had a winner under rules for a very long time. Cheap purchase, and the pedigree is no more than ordinary. Clearly he should never have been 25/1, but inspired gamble, or another dud?
