There was a race at Salisbury on July 11th, in which the first two pulled 9L clear of the third, in what was comparatively the best time on the card.
The winner Silver Lake went up 2lb, the second, Food For Thought, was left on the same mark.
Silver Lake, up in class yesterday at Glorious Goodwood, was smashed into odds-on and readily won by 3L.
Food For Thought, kept to class 4 level today, runs in the 4.33 @ Newmarket. Currently a 5/6 shot generally.

Silver Lake was trying 10f for the first time at Salisbury, and also the first time she had worn a tongue-tie, and yesterday showed that she must have been well ahead of her mark.
The Raif & Rhys combo did have one turned over at 1-3 yesterday over C&D, while another Beckett runner that was prominent in the betting at Wolverhampton, was pulled up, but according to the RP, 53% of the Beckett runners are currently running to form.

Slightly odd market so far, been matched down at 1.59, also odds against, currently around 1.9 marks.
Given it's also a front runner looks a very good trade at least back to lay.

Hector Crouch probably could have rode and has stayed at Goodwood to ride El Matador in the last race. Pointer to that one maybe ?

The winner ran a subsequent Listed winner (and Classic contender) to a neck on her debut, and maybe not seen to best effect since in tactical races, but with her stable enjoying good run of form, found what she had suggested she was capable of on her debut.
I thought Food For Thought had running left in her after the line, and being out of a Galileo mare, maybe there will be further improvement to come if and when stepped up to 12f.
It will be interesting to see what the assessor does now, might still get a rise in light of Silver Lake's subsequent win.

I have just spent 20 minutes going through all the relevant Results surrounding Silver Lake and Food For Thought, and horses that finished around both horses in previous and subsequent races.
Exceptionally hard to get a 'Hook' on that Salisbury race, but from my above paragraph there is some positive confirmation from a Group3 and another race(s) in Ireland.
The Salisbury race, where Silver Lake beat Food For Thought - with the pair 9 lengths clear of the 3rd - was absolutely Impossible for ANYBODY to Re-Assess with any degree of anywhere near any accuracy - be they BHA Handicapper, or whoever.
Some races simply fall like that - UNTIL, you can go back Retrospectively (using future races and Results) and 'get a Handle on the race'.
Silver Lake definitely made further progression today, and will, again, go up accordingly.
Food For Thought, although a beaten 2nd today, still finished over 4 lengths in front of the 3rd horse, Haggass's Thaluna, who had run solid 84 Placed ratings in races, 3 and 4 outings ago, only a little short of that at Ascot last time - and was trying an extra 2f today, off 82, and came up slightly short of that, due to the extra distance in my view.

As you say, Food For Thought may have 'found one too good', today - but who is to day that Holywell Stream may not turn out to be pretty good, too - after all, it did stat 10/11 Fav against the perceived Handicap good thing.
I feel all 3 horses - Silver Lake - Food For Thought - Holywell Stream - 'have a future' in them.

Food For Thought perhaps doesn't have the physical scope of the other two, from what I can glean from the tv pictures, but certainly looks worth a try over 12f imo.
JCH thinks Holywell Stream ideally wants softer ground, which is what she raced on when second to Lilt on debut.
