Deauville offers great value. British racecourses are rip-off merchants. Why can the French courses offer much lower prices and British ones cannot?
|
|
By:
us brits will accept being taken for mugs the frogs will riot if the pish is taken .
|
|

Us Brits are so laid-back possibly semi-comatose. We'll patiently queue at the bus stops; at checkouts petrol pumps; generous, hospitable and civilised to new arrivals; etc.
Why can the British racecourse replicate the French on this? It cannot be better funding as their horseracing goers and punters are significantly less than us. |

Cracking card today, especially the group races.
I've backed Queens of the Day Light of Dawn Evita Blue Bolt all rather obvious but group form holds up well, usually, especially in France, so winners are often well backed. GL everyone |

what do we reckon the going is at dooville says soft but is it or faster?
|
|
By:
French racing seems to have a habit of calling ground conditions slower than they really are

Irishracing & ATR have Sft, R.Post down as G/Sft.

the rothschild 1m group 1 .blue bolt and precise take each other on again and no suprise if either is too good but both are short enough and both have yet to fully show they handle soft (if indeed it is soft )i can pass at the prices evolutionist seems held by the top 2 in the betting but could improve and get closer . i like the chance of a couple of 4yo frenchies and anakova seems to be improving winning a listed at longchamp she obviously has a good bit to find on ratings with the group winners here but can be backed at big prices and may be a late developer and could outrun her odds here fabre knows the time of day and i have had a few pops ew at 40s and 50s on here pc bourdet up and shes a winner on very soft last time .
selection anakova 50/1 win 3 places on here 40/1 ew firms good luck opinions encouraged. |

100 % England v France final
By Delashay on 7 Jul 26 13:52 Anyone scared of the French team is talking crud, Dembelle did sweet FA the other night, nor did the over rated Smile when he’s winning merchant. Their left back is Luca Digne ffs! Their right back is no good either and Saliba has had a bad year at… We know that turned out. ![]() |

Good luck Foyles Mosse seems to think his will like the fast pace and there wasn’t much between them at Longchamp, where she gave Ana some weight.
Looking ahead Anna doesn’t have any entries going forwards over Arc weekend. Green Spirit has blinkers for the first time and head & Goyen are in form. There’s a couple that I’m watching especially in the race before. |
|
By:
Romantic Symphony franked the form yesterday at HQ of the race that she ran in at Longchamps where LeftEye didn’t stay the 1m 4f.
Then the Italians (same race) was beaten by a nice Aga filly first time up. |
|
By:
Would like to see Elvira oblige, handled fast early pace in Diane, skipped path and faced wall of horses early in straight
Could have shown more after opening and finished with Lilt! Something about Pink Panthers cross form line suggests Etincelle has an outside chance Someone explain why Symbol of Majesty is 15/8 before she wins! |

Been out so not seen the races only the results, see they ran up to form in the G1.
Distant : I couldn’t see that either but reading race comments, a typical Buick ride at Deauville sitting near the front, which you need with the short home straight there. Lapotheose 2nd in the Diane beaten 3 1/2L (can’t have stayed) The filly that beat her Soreanga had beaten Loucas first time out, he was behind Title Role in the German 2000, ahead of Shayem, form looking ok. |

I had no idea what Soumi as at in that prix Psyche, Delashay

She didn’t seem to like being hit, the tail went up and she sort of downed tools a bit, only seen it the once.
Goyen was too far back on Lefteye and let them both get first run. |

By:
Tight finish in the G1 Keene zigzagged his way up the straight!
|
|

Anyone who backed the favourite just got lucky. She was going nowhere until she back on the rail which she had originally given up. I doubt anyone who backed her did so on the basis they knew that would happen.
