that far side rail looks golden

Great watch with Will Buick showing great patience to beat what looked all over the winner, Noble Horizon. the 2 best backed this morning while Twisting Physics backed late didn't quite get home.

By:
what's a "cutterway"?
By:
Not sure many will get a run wide today, looks faster up the rail already
By:
Correct spelling is a cutaway rail.
By:
Faster and a shorter distance! Twisting Physics must have covered at least 5 lengths more than the winner.
By:
I hope Buick gives Al Hudaiba a similar ride...
By:
A cutaway rail, helps horses held up at the rear from being trapped against the rail, reducing traffic jams and interference and effectively slightly changing configuration of the racing card and distances horses cover depending on race position.

Just like lovely Kempton. Given that this is an exchange you dont have to punt winners to win.

Basically admitting how poor the standard of jockeyship is having to use these cutaways.

Shocking Stuff , then whip in Wrong hand drifting in to the other Horses
Stewards need to have a Word IMO , Roy Rogers type Ride |
By:
so cancelled my high draw bets in 4.10 and backed six of them at just over evens drawn 1-6 case of which one gets the rail
By:
under pressure, David Egan giving up the rail
![]() the Amo job will be gon if he keeps riding so poor this week |
By:
Just as well Egan Gave way ,the Lunatic Fraser would have had them both on the Deck
Its no wonder the Horse tried to escape before its Previous race |
By:
Very unfair. Kaiya had his leg bitten by another horse at Ascot and that spooked his horse which got loose. With hindsight, the way it won that day after all of the upset, it must be a very good horse. If Billy Loughnane or Ryan had taken that gap everyone would be raving about how good they were. You do need a brave horse though and Buick got no help at all that time.

By:
Probably upgrade Lake Forest's win, winning out in centre of the track. At least that suggests the cutaway strip is only a slight help which can be overcome.
By:
what is actual point in the Cutaway ?
By:
He took the brave mans Route sage , well timed on this occasion
By:
saving the turf for fresh ground. not quite clear why it stops 2f out

9 times out of 10 I do Ok at Goodwood with the odd year being a nightmare. I prefer the cutaway when it's there. I normally bet more at Goodwood than I do at Ascot The July Course Chester or York.
