ASTOUNDING - Must be one of the lowest PLACEPOT Dividends ever !

Market Rasen circa 1987.

I did a 32 x £1.00 perm and all selections got placed.
I quite fancied the cashier and was going to give her a nice tip out of the returns.

The dividend paid £1.50 and to my knowledge that's the lowest I've ever seen in 45 years of punting.

the suvvel return is actually more remarkable given the numbers. just demonstrates the difference a couple of jollies makes. and the tote extortionate takeout

market raspberry could have had 6 odds-ons in there? cant imagine how it would be that bad, and things were different then

ive had a few good uns, getting 50 40 and 33/1 winners in the pp but the jolly crept in every time and ended up losing money as i had covered all of em (small fields)

Are the Tote justified in taking out a 27% deduction?

surely you're better off just doing an e/w accu, equally divided stakes if your bookie allows it. some of the smaller independents still allow e/d e/w bets if you write it on the slip
